I attempted this for my three little ones, and I'm missing something. How long is the piece you put between the two-way and four-way elbows in the corners? Do you have to bend it a little? Do the two-way elbows need to be at a certain angle? I know you said 45 degrees; however, the elbows seem to be manufactured at more like 90. Bend?

Thanks for your help.

How did you connect the 4 way pieces to the elbows? Did your pipe fit all the way through the 4 ways? Thanks for your help!

These are just lovely. I love the shape. I have also made a bean bag but more of a globe shape. I think I would choose your design in the future. Here's a thought: With my bean bag, I didn't actually put beans in it. Instead, I left an opening and filled it with the ten million stuffed animals in our house. It's very comfy and VERY useful. I made it out of a stretchy pink fabric that is sort of fluffy like curly animal fur (surely there is a real name for this fabric). In the future, I will use your design and put a zipper on the seam. Thank you for the inspiration. Hopefully the stuffed animal stuffing will save you from the bean bag hunt in the future!

I am always looking for more people out there with great reuse ideas. I am working on starting a reuse center her in the Los Angeles area where I can employ at risk youth and other poeople who need soft skills training. We have very similar visions...
Where did you find the elbows. I am trying to make the elevated beds for dogs at our Humane Society and can't find any that are reasonable in price.
Not sure you can help me.

I do love this idea for around the house - I have a basement workspace and I always have to bring the house phone, my cell phone and my iPod with me, which is a pain. This would solve that and be funky at the same time. Thanks for the cute idea!
