Home >> love what you do

    March 13, 2010

I was planted into a culture that believes that work is work and play is play and never the twain should tangle. But a handful of years ago I quit believing that. I often find myself mesmerized by articles about people living their dream.

So, here’s my simple dream plan: Create something every day. Above are projects from yesterday and today.

As much as I like to save “stuff” I also have a disdain for clutter. Things pile up and get chaotic, then I go on a cleaning binge and start purging the mess. Today it was Miika & Nathan’s room that were overhauled. I found some old slides in a drawer and started holding them up to the light…then thought, “Hey, these would look cool stuck to the lamp…” It’s only a $3 lamp from a garage sale. I picked out some little jewels from a trip to England about 11 years ago: Beatrix Potter’s Hilltop, Bath, Ambleside and a few shots of Edinburgh.

I’m checking off my list of projects…working toward 100. I’m at the very beginning of this new journey. And I keep following the road signs along the way. Every day is a new adventure.

I love this plan – something creative every day. I need to live it, too. Very cool projects so far!
