Do you just sew it with a regular sewing machine? Do you have to serge the edges? Or perhaps cover them with bias tape? What did you do? Maybe you could turn the sleeves into mittens. I did that once with cut up sweaters but I cannot recall how exactly. I remember that the cuff was the mitten cuff.
