I found a great group on flicker today called trash pickins. If it was up to me I’d furnish our whole house with free stuff…but my husband, Paul, is much more particular than that. However, I have a few great finds around the house that were curbside treasures…Miika’s breakfast/lunch table is one of them:
A few weeks ago I found the coolest reclining wooden lawn chair…it’s safely stashed on my mom’s back porch at the moment… There’s just a certain thrill about finding something for nothing or barely anything. That’s why thrifting is such a kick. Hey, I have to compensate for the price of gas somehow! I about fell over last week when it cost me $60 to fill the van. Oh, it’s in my genes. I remember my dad stopping to pick stuff up when I was a kid…the trick is to restrain oneself from filling one’s house floor to ceiling.
I’ll always be on the look out for a deal…
