I have very few vices…chocolate, cookies, and coffee…that’s it! So today’s my day for indulgence.
Today was also Nathan’s annual IFSP meeting with all of his therapists to go over his development to date. He is doing very well in all categories of development and scores between 18 and 22 months…pretty good for a 25 month old! Some of his gross motor skills even exceed his age. He is weakest in the area of speech, but of course his sign language is excellent. This week he put 2 signed words together for the first time… “cookie all gone.” Last Friday a routine trip to the ENT revealed that his ear tubes had begun to come out and in effect had become ear plugs! So the doctor took them out. In a matter of days, his speech has begun to improve and he is imitating sounds on command. I think we have lost some ground because I didn’t get him to the ENT sooner. But I’m confident that little Mr. Smarty-Pants will catch up and surprise us all.
Nathan is all about smiles, sunshine, trucks, gears, balls, and hugs.
