Now Miika is five. She had a great birthday party at the Garfield Park Conservatory with her friends. What a happy day indeed. My mother stayed home with Nathan so Paul and I could focus completely on the birthday girl….a luxury which she rarely gets to enjoy. It’s a tricky balance to give equal attention to both kids with all of Nathan’s therapies and appointments, but Saturday was all about Miika and she ate it up like cake!
