Today I stole a few moments to see what other moms of kids w/ DS were up to and stumbled upon BSB Creations…a cute idea that obviously spins from Eric Carle’s work. Life inspires and when it throws somebody a curve, it’s always great to see positive expressions and inventions resulting from difficult circumstances. I’m always on the lookout for folks who develop ideas into products that bring them independence…perhaps it’s just the American dream: The mom who developed Jibbitz for Crocs; Sara Blakely who designed Spanx; or Paula Deen’s sandwiches which became an empire. The trick is to hold on to those dreams long enough to bring them into fruition.
Here’s another great site to check out…Holly Becker has a fresh eye on design.
And … Mari Eriksson fresh air inspiration! Just wish I could read Swedish
Lastly, check out Casey from Naperville skydiving!! Not even the sky is the limit!
Now I really must stop this surfing and get to work!! Enjoy the links!
Liita Thank you for the birthday wish. I stumbled upon a website that you may want to look at. From the things I had read it seems very encouraging. The lady of the website is looking for pictures of moms with their DS children. She makes reference to a couple of (positive)books that sound good to. Check it out and let me know if it was anything worth mentioning.
Love you all. Give the kids and Paul a hug for me!
Sorry here is the link. Its long I know…
