The tapestry of the work-at-home-life is a colorful picture of time and efforts all jumbled together in a very disorderly fashion….chaos actually. Laundry + glue & paint + dishes + therapy + grocery shopping + make a newsletter + change a diaper + bill the clients + design a brochure + feed the little birds who eat every 15 minutes, more dishes, make messes to clean messes….just another day, fall asleep with laundry in my lap
, wake up and do it all again. And if Nathan drags one more thing down off a table I think I’ll loose my mind…little Mr-get-into-everything…oh, I need another cup of coffee…up til midnight, awake at 5:30, day after day after day…that’s this life.
As I look at the mess that he’s into, I tell myself, maybe this mess will keep him from making the next one for at least 15 minutes, so I let him have his mess…but he’s eating the green tissue paper…not a good idea. My office is full of boxes of bits, treasures for the next project…a treasure trove for a two-year-old pirate… the work will get done eventually … another hour after dark.
